We are currently investigating an issue where incoming calls intermittantly cannot be transferred via 4-digit extensions in Microsoft Teams. In these instances, transfers are unsuccessful and the call rings back to the initial recipient rather than completing to the destination. Internal review confirms our telephony configurations and dialing rules are correctly set. However, our log review reveals anomalous transfer-signaling behavior within Microsoft’s Teams cloud infrastructure. We are engaging provider and partner engineers to address this platform-side routing anomaly. As an immediate workaround, please ask the caller to place a new call directly to the target extension or full phone number.
Additionally, we are tracking reports of garbled or degraded audio on inbound voicemail greetings. While this may be a separate media-processing issue within Microsoft Cloud Voicemail, we are evaluating audio logs alongside the transfer routing logs to determine if there is a common underlying cause. Updates on both items will be posted here as our investigation progresses.
