ITS is working with engineers from each of the vendors that support the wireless and authentication systems on campus. Together, they are coordinating resolutions to a set of software bugs that are generating intermittent problems with devices connecting to the wireless network.
This semester, we’ve also experienced three distinct disruptions with our Internet Service Providers that impacted our external connections to the Internet. The most recent being on 10/2 around 10-11pm due to re-connection of services that were damaged by hurricane Helene.
System instability and provider outages have combined to provide an experience that is below our standard. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve our network. Please report connectivity issues to the Help Desk at helpdesk@etown.edu or 717-361-3333.

Update
Additional forensics this moring has indicated a disruption within the wireless device authentication system was the root cause of the issue yesterday. We are continuing to monitor the system for additional troubles.

Ruckus support engineers have validated our configuration and stability of the wireless system. While a root cause for our issue was not identified, we have increased monitoring and will continue to review system logs.

Update
We are continuing to investigate the connectivity issues experienced earlier today. While wireless access appears to have stabilized, we're in contact with our provider's support to better determine a cause and to prevent any reoccurrences. Thanks for your patience as we work to address this issue.

ITS is currently investigating reports of problems with wireless connectivity where devices are disconnecting and may intermittent reconnect. We will provide updates to the status as they are available.
